This one ought to be interesting.  Really, who can say how and/or why kettlecorn might surpass funnel cakes in the "tastes good" category, or why pizza is a finer spectator food than hot dogs?  There's one way to find out - show up for the Vendor Food Contest on Sunday at noon.
This annual event has been scheduled for 2pm on Sunday.  Check in at the Fiesta Booth for info on entering, or amble over to the horseshoe area in Ralph Edwards Park at the designated time if you just want to watch the action.
Can Cafe BellaLuca, the sponsors of this event, put on a contest that surpasses the excitement of last year's Meatball Relay?  Come to the park on Sunday at 11am to find out for yourself!
Contact us for more information (or inquire at the Fiesta Booth in the Park) on these fun Fiesta events.  The Basketball Tournament starts right after Saturday's parade.  The Volleyball Tournament follows the Basketball Tournament.

Junk Boat Race - Saturday

Rules: Junk boats must be made out of homemade or recycled materials -- pipes, styrofoam, beer cans, etc...but absolutely no boat parts, screws, or nails! Two people maximum are allowed on each junk boat. Paddling must be done with arms or oars; anything mechanical is not allowed. All participants must wear a life vest!

The race begins at the Cuchillo Street Bridge east of town; a drawing is be held for start positions. The finish line is at Ralph Edwards Park.
